The diversity of our manufacturing process means that our CNC tables can be found in a range of sectors including the aerospace industry. One such company within the aerospace industry utilising our plasma tables is Mitie. Mitie is a large contractor who was awarded the Heathrow terminal 5 contract in 2018, taking care of the airport’s maintenance and engineering services.
As the UK busiest airport with over 200k passengers passing through every day, maintenance is of the utmost importance. Our CNC tables are used within their engineering workshop where maintenance and repairs take place daily ensuring the continuation of a smooth-running Heathrow.
The versatility of our cutting tables means they are used for a wide range of applications within Heathrow, including manufacturing parts for repairs on hangars, vehicle transport, and many other repairs that would occur daily where sheet metal work and metal parts are required. The cutting table has a 3m x 1.5m cutting area complete with a Hypertherm MaxPro 200 and an optional oxy-fuel gas cutting head allowing it to pierce capacities of up to 150mm+.
Our feedback from working with a large collaboration for many years has always been positive due to the machine’s flexibility, ease of use and reliability.
Our tables are not only manufactured to the highest specification, but they’re also backed by sophisticated, yet easy to use CNC software allowing our tables to be used in all industries. See our software in action.
